Dr. Lenahen’s Veterinary Journey

Dr. Christopher Lenahen graduated from Mississippi State University in 2017. His journey into veterinary medicine was inspired by a lifelong curiosity for learning, a passion for caregiving, and a deep love for animals. For Dr. Lenahen, becoming a veterinarian was a natural way to combine these interests. He is a Fear Free certified veterinarian and holds RECOVER certification, reflecting his commitment to providing high-quality veterinary care.

Dr. Lenahen’s Career & Experience at Sploot

As Regional Medical Director for Sploot Veterinary Care in Denver, Dr. Lenahen has special interests in urgent care, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and mentoring fellow veterinarians. He also performs endoscopic, laparoscopic, and laparoscopic-assisted surgeries and procedures. With a professional background in emergency medicine, Dr. Lenahen was excited to join Sploot and help expand its urgent care services while developing additional expertise in primary care.

He states the following about his career at Sploot: “Since joining Sploot, I have learned dentistry, laparoscopic surgery, and leadership. It has helped me progress to my current role as Regional Medical Director.”

Outside of Work

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Lenahen enjoys spending quality time with his wife and kids while exploring everything Colorado has to offer. A self-described foodie, he loves discovering new restaurants and trying different cuisines.At home, Dr. Lenahen and his family share their lives with Leah, their beloved 14-year-old English Shepherd. Leah joined the family when his wife unexpectedly adopted her from a Mississippi shelter while he was still in veterinary school. What began as a surprise adoption turned out to be one of the best decisions they ever made, and Leah has held a special place in their hearts ever since.
