Dr. Schneider’s Veterinary Journey

Dr. Chris Schneider graduated from Colorado State University in 2012. Having always loved and cared for animals, Dr. Schneider's passion for veterinary medicine grew into a calling centered on helping both pets and the people who love them. Over time, Dr. Schneider discovered that one of the most rewarding aspects of being a veterinarian is supporting pet parents through stressful and uncertain moments. Whether helping families navigate medical concerns or providing guidance during difficult decisions, Dr. Schneider finds fulfillment in making pet parents feel heard, informed, and supported. Dr. Schneider is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and Colorado Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA).

Dr. Schneider’s Career & Experience at Sploot

As an Associate Veterinarian at Sploot Veterinary Care in Denver, Dr. Schneider has special interests in surgery, internal medicine, and quality-of-life and end-of-life care. Dr. Schneider is particularly passionate about providing compassionate veterinary care that addresses each pet's medical needs while supporting their families. Dr. Schneider appreciates Sploot's all-in-one approach to veterinary medicine, which allows pets to receive comprehensive medical services in one convenient location. The clinic's extended hours and availability 365 days a year also help make veterinary care more accessible to pet parents. One of Dr. Schneider's favorite aspects of working at Sploot is the supportive team and collaborative culture, which provides a welcoming environment for practicing high-quality veterinary medicine. 

Outside of Work

Outside the clinic, Dr. Schneider enjoys spending quality time with the kids and connecting with friends over board games and Dungeons & Dragons. Other favorite ways to unwind include visiting the climbing gym or relaxing at home while listening to a new vinyl record. Dr. Schneider also shares a home with a lively collection of pets: four cats named Mittens, Shadow, Jasper, and Percy; a rabbit named Fuzzball; and two mice named Roger and Cat.
