Dr. Parker’s Veterinary Journey
Dr. Courtney Parker graduated from Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. Growing up on a ranch in East Texas, she developed a deep appreciation for animals through her father and uncle, who were both involved in wildlife rehabilitation. Her childhood was filled with opportunities to observe animals recover and regain their health, experiences that inspired her. Today, she finds fulfillment in helping fur babies stay healthy, comfortable, and active so they can continue sharing adventures with their families.
Dr. Parker is a Fear Free certified veterinarian, holds RECOVER CPR training credentials, and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and Colorado Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA).
Dr. Parker’s Career & Experience at Sploot
As a Clinic Medical Director at Sploot Veterinary Care in Denver, Dr. Parker has special interests in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and challenging medical cases. She appreciates Sploot's all-in-one approach to veterinary care, extended hours, year-round availability, and Fear Free clinic environment.
Her favorite part of working at Sploot is the team and supportive culture, particularly the network of fellow veterinarians who share knowledge and collaborate on patient care. With the support of her colleagues and access to continuing education opportunities, Dr. Parker has been able to further develop her surgical skills and advance into clinic leadership.
Outside of Work
Outside the clinic, Dr. Parker enjoys taking advantage of Colorado's outdoor recreation opportunities, including hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, horse packing, and kayaking. She makes an effort to spend time outside every day, whether gardening in the sunshine or sledding in the park with her dog. She also shares her home with three beloved pets. Cleocatra, a 13-year-old Bengal who enjoys leashed walks and stroller outings, Pepper, a 6-year-old Pit Bull mix with an endless enthusiasm for fetch, and Jormungandr, a 12-year-old giant day gecko whom Dr. Parker has cared for since he was just six weeks old.
