Dr. Jade Johnson

Dr. Johnson’s Veterinary Journey

Dr. Jade Johnson graduated from Colorado State University in 2024. Before pursuing veterinary medicine, she worked as an emergency medical technician (EMT), where she discovered her love of medicine. She later realized that working with animals was her true calling. Dr. Johnson is a Fear Free certified veterinarian and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

Dr. Johnson’s Career & Experience at Sploot

As an associate veterinarian at Sploot Veterinary Care in Denver, Dr. Johnson has special interests in dermatology, dentistry, and wound care. Her favorite part of working at Sploot is the team and culture. Sploot was her first workplace as a licensed veterinarian, and Sploot’s mentorship program helped her build her skills and confidence after graduation. She also values Sploot’s Fear Free clinic environment, extended hours, availability 365 days a year, and connected network of clinics that allows pet parents to seek care across locations.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, Dr. Johnson enjoys reading fiction, painting, and taking her dog on long, leisurely walks. She and her husband also love exploring new restaurants and breweries. She is a devoted pet parent to Olive, a 9-year-old mixed-breed dog, and Hemi, a 9-year-old orange tabby. As a Sploot client herself, Dr. Johnson appreciates meeting her fur babies’ care needs in one clinic and the helpful, caring nurses who look after Olive and Hemi.
