Dr. Cruz-Rincon’s Veterinary Journey

Dr. Steph Cruz-Rincon graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She was drawn to veterinary medicine by a passion for animals, a fascination with medical science, and a desire to make a positive impact on local communities. As a veterinarian, Dr. Cruz-Rincon finds fulfillment in helping pet parents better understand their pets' needs, strengthening the human-animal bond, and advocating for the best possible outcomes. Dr. Cruz-Rincon is RECOVER certified and has completed additional training in AFAST and TFAST, ultrasound techniques used to assess patients in emergency and critical care settings.

Dr. Cruz-Rincon’s Career & Experience at Sploot

As an Associate Veterinarian at Sploot Veterinary Care in Chicago, Dr. Cruz-Rincon has special interests in soft tissue surgery, oral surgery, primary care, and urgent care medicine. Dr. Cruz-Rincon appreciates Sploot's all-in-one approach to veterinary care, extended hours, 365-day availability, and Fear Free environment. 

One of Dr. Cruz-Rincon's favorite aspects of working at Sploot is the opportunity for continuous professional growth. She further states:

Outside of Work

Outside the clinic, Dr. Cruz-Rincon enjoys staying active through biking, whether exploring scenic trails or riding through the streets of Chicago. Other favorite activities include practicing Ving Tsun Kung Fu, reading, spending quality time with family, and relaxing at home with beloved pets. Dr. Cruz-Rincon is a proud pet parent to Marte, Mercurio, Demi, Pebbles, and Emerald. Each of her fur babies has a unique personality, bringing plenty of love, laughter, and entertainment!
